- i have a (surprisingly) good story to tell concerning pontiac.
- i have a 89 grand am and it is 3 years old has 36k miles. i noticed that
- the paint is bubbling under both rear windows and along the wheel-well on
- 1 side and on the lower left door. pontiac said no problem they will fix the
- whole thing. this particular dealer has no body shop so i was allowed to take
- it anywhere in town, my choice. the estimate to fix this and repaint is
- just under 1k. these are small spots...about the size of a nickel.
- anyway, i really expected them to try and weasel out of it since the normal
- 3yr/50k mile warranty was up. but since there is a 6yr/100k rust-thru coverage
- i guess that is what it is under.
- of course, rather sad that a 3 yr old car has this problem to begin with...
- but at least they are paying for it.
