  12. i have a (surprisingly) good story to tell concerning pontiac.
  13. i have a 89 grand am and it is 3 years old has 36k miles.  i noticed that
  14. the paint is bubbling under both rear windows and along the wheel-well on
  15. 1 side and on the lower left door.  pontiac said no problem they will fix the
  16. whole thing.  this particular dealer has no body shop so i was allowed to take
  17. it anywhere in town, my choice.  the estimate to fix this and repaint is 
  18. just under 1k.  these are small spots...about the size of a nickel.
  19. anyway, i really expected them to try and weasel out of it since the normal
  20. 3yr/50k mile warranty was up.  but since there is a 6yr/100k rust-thru coverage
  21. i guess that is what it is under.
  22. of course, rather sad that a 3 yr old car has this problem to begin with...
  23. but at least they are paying for it.
