  32. For the Midas portion, I agree. For one, their mufflers seem to last
  33. just about 2 years, then they need replacing, and they try the whole
  34. speil over again. Since you own an 87 Camry, I seriously doubt that
  35. there are *any* holes in the pipe ahead of the muffler, unless you live
  36. in a high salt area. Then there might be a possibility. I live in the
  37. DC-MD area, drive an 88 Toyota Celica Turbo, and have *no* rust in the
  38. exhaust at all. (Whatever other problems I had with the car notwithstanding
  39. for those of you who caught the previous complaint list :)

  41. You might actually want to check with the dealer, and see how much their
  42. estimate is, as the muffler and piping Midas or Mienekie uses is of
  43. such poor quality that if your original already rusted out, they may
  44. only last through a single winter. (The original equipment on Toyota
  45. exhaust used to be Stainless Steel I believe, as mine never rusted,
  46. and this is my third Toyota, each being driven with original exhaust
  47. equipment 80,000, 90,000, and the present one is at 76,000.)
