- Because of repeated acts of petty vandalism, my brother wants to
- install a car alarm in his (almost) new Mazda Miata. He tried calling
- the three Mazda dealers in the area (Rockville, MD), and none of them
- knew anything about car alarms other than the price ($500). They
- didn't have the slightest idea how the alarms worked, or even the
- brand, but were certainly willing to install one anyways.
-
- My brother tried calling all the car alarm places in the phonebook,
- and found only one that knew anything. They want to sell him an
- Alpine 8040 for $480.
-
- Does anyone have any suggestions or experiences with Miata alarms? Is
- $480 a decent price for an alarm?
-
- Thanks in advance.
