- Anybody have any idea why manufacturers use double jointed
- accelerator pedals?
-
- My `81 Accord has just a rod with a pedal glued to it for an accelerator.
- My friend's `82 has a rod with a pivot at the end of it with the pedal
- attatched at its center to this pivot point.
-
- I personally prefer the one peice accelerator as it gives you better
- control. I've not seen a race car with the double joints.
