- I posted the original bit several weeks ago. I'm glad we both got the
- same answer from Cincinnati Microwave (CM hereafter).
-
- As for the Passport 3200 NOT using DSP, I beg to differ. I got a
- brochure about the 3200, along with a brochure about CM's lidar detector.
- The 3200's brochure says that it *does* use digital signal processing.
- I don't know who's DSP chip they use, though. They sure don't brag about
- it the way they did about the 24 bit Motorola MC56000 DSP.

-
- Same here. I am holding onto my Escort DSP for as long as possible. The
- cops here don't use Ka yet, but they DO use lots of instant on K. Every
- little bit on K sensitivity is needed here in Austin.

- I doubt you'd see the Escort DSP reviewed now, since it's out of production.
- "Car and Driver" said they would do a detector review this year, and even
- test CM's new lidar detector. I am really anxious to see it.

- P.S. I don't work for the DSP guys, so don't blame me for the price increase. :-)
