  10.    Last night I compared the Magnepan 1.5s to the Vanderstein 2s.

  12.    No comparison.  I guess I'm a planar speaker convert.  The difference
  13.  in imaging and the dimensions of the overall soundstage of the
  14.  Maggies burried the Vandersteins.

  16.    No lack of dynamics as I was led to believe with the planars.
  17.    Also, the 1.5s extend to about 35-40 Hz.  If I need that lower octave
  18.  I can later add a sub.  Anyhow the Vanderstains do not extend more
  19.  than a few Hz below the Mags.

  21.    Now the real question...The list price (and selling price) where I looked
  22.  was $1,350 for the 1.5s.  Does anyone know of a place that discounts the
  23.  Mags.
