  10. Before I take my tape deck in for repair, I thought I would find out
  11. if anyone has seen this problem:  One well of my dual well cassette deck
  12. has suddenly gotten VERY noisy, even without a tape!  The level "meters"
  13. for both channels max out, and all you can hear is a loud hum. Any ideas?
  14. The other well works fine, so I know that the deck is fine downstream from
  15. the tape mechanisms and at least half of the switching circuitry.
