- When I added my center channel speaker, the dialog become much easier to
- understand than it was when running in Phantom mode. I attribute this to a
- combination of comb filter effects (which don't occur with a single speaker)
- and that only the dialog is being reproduced in the center channel and the
- sound track is mostly in the front speakers.

- A center channel is desirable but not necessary. You could leave it for an
- upgrade option when you have more money available and still not be disappointed
- with a ProLogic receiver.
