  12. I had requested information/advice on choosing a receiver earlier also. I
  13. haven't seen much reviews about Kenwood receivers and hence would appreciate
  14. if someone could post it on the net. I was going through the features of
  15. KR-V7040, KR-V8040, KR-V8540 and KR-V9030 in a catalog (I think Crutchfield.)
  16. and their quotes.(which seemed a bit higher then other mail order places).

  18. In the March issue of Consumer Reports, KR-V7030 was rated as a best buy. How
  19. reliable are Consumer Reports anyway ? That particular issue also rated 
  20. Onkyo's TX-906 as a good buy in the Dolby Surround category. TX-906 
  21. isn't a powered Pro-logic receiver although it has the required circuitry.
