  16. If you have a Van Scoy near you, head straight there.  If you don't
  17. it's well worth the trip up to rochester.  It is right off of 390
  18. at the jefferson road exit in the Cohoes commons.

  20. I went there for my engagement ring, and the poor sales girl spent almost
  21. two hours with me explaining different quality of diamonds, different
  22. cuts, different settings, and she NEVER tried to talk me up to a
  23. higher price.  I got a beautiful diamond which my wife loves.

  25. Another hint:  often times jewelers will try to talk you into getting
  26. a higher quality diamond than you need.  I got one with a tiny flaw that
  27. you can only see under something like 100x magnification.  If you
  28. can't see it under 10x magnification, don't worry about it.  You can get
  29. a very nice diamond very reasonably if you are not too snobby about something
  30. nobody but a jeweler will ever notice.
