  10. I'm attempting to build Cnews/nntp.1.5.11 on an Indigo Elan
  11. running IRIX 4.0.5.  I'm unclear on whether I need to define
  12. NDIR in common/common.h.  I've obtained and built the ndir
  13. distribution on my Iris but defining USG (which then defines
  14. NDIR) results in immediate compilation failures when making
  15. "server".

  17. I can build and run nntp (at least I can telnet to the nntp port
  18. and talk to the program) if I "undef NDIR".
  19.  
  20. Is the NDIR stuff REQUIRED for IRIX 4.0.X?  If you have gotten
  21. nntp to build/run under this OS please let me know how you
  22. did it and whether or not the ndir code is required.
