  19. I think that the FAQ poster should be responsible for posting a quick "how to
  20. get the FAQ" article about once a week, with the FAQ itself being posted
  21. about once a month.

  31. The file exists to help new readers avoid embarrassing themselves by asking
  32. questions which have been covered over and over again.  Please read it before
  33. posting.

  35. To find a copy:

  37. 1. Check the newsgroup alt.atheism.  There should be a copy of the latest
  38.    version of the FAQ file.  Look for the subject line "Alt.Atheism
  39.    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)".

  41. 2. Check the newsgroup news.answers for the same subject line.
  42.  
  43.    If you don't find anything in steps 1 or 2, your news system isn't set up
  44.    correctly, and you may wish to tell your system administrator about the
  45.    problem.

  47. 3. If you have anonymous FTP access, connect to pit-manager.mit.edu
  48.    [18.172.1.27].  Go to the directory /pub/usenet/alt.atheism, and you'll
  49.    find the latest version of the FAQ file there.

  51. 4. If you don't have FTP, send mail to mail-server@pit-manager.mit.edu
  52.    consisting of the following line:

  54.       send usenet/alt.atheism/Alt.Atheism_Frequently_Asked_Questions_(FAQ)

  56.    The FAQ file should be mailed back to you automatically.
