- Hi, my name is Emily Cheng.
- Anyway, I have a problem right now I need your help. I have a IBM
- compatible PC made by Packard Bell. It is a 386/SX and was used for less than
- two years. Recently, the system went dead. I guess it is caused by the
- malfunction of some chips on the mother board. I called the Packard Bell
- technical line and was told to replace the mother board would cost ~$500.
- With the PC price so low nowadays, I can easily buy another new system with
- a little extra. However, I have so many data and software on the system
- that it wouldn't be a good choice to buy a brand new one. Do you know
- any places that I would buy a Packard Bell mother board, OR, even better, a
- PC repair shop around Boston that can fix this problem for a reasonable price
- with reliable work? I already know one place called "COMPUSA". Any other
- suggestions? Thanks.
