- The SC decision was based on a case brought by a teenage girl in
- Rhode Island. The decision was that there can be no school
- sanctioned prayer, no matter how obscure. This means no official
- benediction, etc. Individuals can pray if they choose to on their
- own. My question is: I am called to speak somewhere (not as an
- official prayer leader) and before/during/after my speech I choose
- to openly pray...is this against the law? It wasn't school
- sanctioned so I would guess not.
