- For sale: Macintosh PowerBook 100, 2 meg memory, 20 meg HD, external
- FDHD SuperDrive floppy disk drive, a/c adapter/battery charger.
- Complete with doc, System 7, Apptalk Remote Access, HyperCard.
-
-
- Also available is an extra adapter/charger, so one doesn't
- have to carry the brick around as much. I paid $99+tax. I've
- seen 'em for less.
-
-
- This unit was purchased about 2 months ago for $999+tax. Yes, I know,
- I know, 4/40's can now be fought over and *potentially* obtained for
- $899 + tax + Price Club membership dues = $969 (MD).
-
-
- It's in perfect condition. It runs System 7 in a little less than 1 meg,
- leaving about 1 meg for applications. I was quite impressed with the
- performance. The screen response (scrolling, etc.) is quicker than my
- IIcx at work. I've tested MS Word 4, MacDraw II, Claris Works, and quite
- a few of my games, toys, Control Panels, Extensions, etc., without problems.
- It's very small and light, much more so than the 140 and 170. It will
- probably fit easily in the briefcase you may already own. It fits in mine.
-
-
- Make offer via e-mail to rwinters@nhqvax.hq.nasa.gov. I'd prefer to sell to
- someone in the DC/Baltimore/Northern Virginia area, so there will be no
- shipping hassles or trust issues. Shipping can also be negotiated/arranged,
- and I have all of the original packing materials.
-
-
- Sorry, but FOLLOWUPS TO NETNEWS WILL PROBABLY *NOT* BE SEEN, and our
- administrator isn't letting us post yet, anyway. I had to post this by
- speaking SMTP directly with a TELNET program! (HELO SAILOR :-)
-
-
- Please don't e-mail me telling me why I should give it to you for free,
- because you can get a PB100 4/40 for $1.75, or because one time this guy
- on the net, see, he sold one for $25, etc., etc., ... I guess the phrase
- is _SERIOUS_INQUIRIES_ONLY_. I reserve the right to not sell, etc., etc.
-
-
-
-
- Thanks!
