- I have an AST Premium 386/20C ('C' is for cache) system for sale. It has
- served me well for a couple of years, and still works just fine, but
- it's time to get a '486. Features are:
-
- - 20 MHz 80386 w/ zero wait states and a cache (256K _I_think_);
- - 80387 math coprocessor;
- - 5MB ram;
- - Orchid Prodesigner svga board. I've been operating this at
- 1024x768x16 under Windows 3.1 very satisfactorily;
- - 1.44 MB and 1.2 MB floppy drives;
-
- For a hard drive you have your choice:
- - I am currently using a Miniscribe 9380 ESDI drive, which is fast and
- big (340 MB), but which is starting to give me infrequent but
- nevertheless worrisome disk-read errors. Nothing a bit of SpinRite
- won't cure, I THINK, but I'm trying to be honest, and I'm selling the
- disk as is.
- - A 40 MB Miniscribe MFM drive. This has operated beautifully for me in
- the past, but I needed something bigger and got the 9380 to replace it.
- (Actually, if want them you can have both drives.)
-
- I am not selling the monitor with the system, (It's an NEC 3D), but if you
- want it make me an offer.
-
- I have another Prodesigner that I would sell separately to anyone who would
- be interested in buying it. These cards work beautifully with the generic
- ET-3000 Win 3.1 drivers.
-
- HINT: I care a lot about wasting time, and if you are in the New York area
- and willing to pick this thing up yourself, I'm willing to sacrifice a
- nontrivial fraction of the selling price to avoid the hassle of mailing.
-
- I'll take the best offer over $650.
