- Note: All the stuff listed above is for a system called a "CIE 680/30" that
- I picked up out of someone's basement (where it was sitting gathering
- dust) Unfortunatly, when I got it home, I couldn't get it to boot
- (when powered on, all the docs say its supposed to prompt with
- "please specify boot device", well, it doesn't say anything (echo's
- back characters though!) and the doc's don't tell me what to to do if
- it doesn't say that, so I'm basically stuck. What this means to you
- is that I can't offer any warranty of any kind on any of this stuff
- because, frankly, I don't know if it works or not. I'm not looking to
- make a profit, so offer whatever you want. My only requirement is
- that you pay shipping. (Which means, you might take the whole thing
- away in parts -- if no one makes any great offers -- for the cost of
- shipping).
- Which brings me to my second point. I don't want to ship this
- beast anywhere. The individual boards, yes, but the whole animal?
- No. Its not worth it. I paid $100 for this thing, and no doubt it would
- cost at least that to ship it anywhere. So. If you want the whole
- package, and you live within an driving distance of Westborough,
- Massachusetts,(What I mean is that I'm willing to drive to somewhere in
- Mass to deliver it if you offer me a decent amount for it) then I'd be
- happy to sell the whole thing to you for $100/BO (Cash on the spot does
- wonders for poor starving college students who spend their money
- stupidly on pieces of ancient computer junk <grin>) Oh, and since I
- can't sell stuff like Emacs and Empire, whoever purchases the OS gets
- them thrown in for free. (Actually, if you purchase the OS I'm gonna
- require that you purchase the rest of the Disks with it, and the
- Unsellable stuff on the disks I'm selling to you gets thrown in for
- free! <phew!> )
- Oh yes, one more thing. If you do want to pick it up whole,
- be prepared to have a full carload of stuff (yes, I have tons
- of docs for it! at least a full trunkful!)
-
- Send offers/comments/flames/money/Pink Elephants to:
- hunt@control.com (preferred)
- or call (508)366-2830 and ask for Tad (thats me!) (after 8pm)
- Operators are standing by for this special once in a lifetime offer!
