  26.   For those of you who haven't been following misc.forsale.computers lately
  27. (within the past couple of months), there was a thread that I believe went
  28. as far as RFD to split misc.forsale.computers.  The general consesnus was that
  29. splitting would severely increase the amount of cross-posting and waste of  
  30. bandwidth.

  32.   For example - suppose I have a 105 meg SCSI hard drive that I want to sell.
  33. Where do I put it?  misc.forsale.computers.mac, misc.forsale.computers.ibm,
  34. misc.forsale.computers.amiga, misc.forsale.computers.workstations, 
  35. misc.forsale.computers.hd ?  That's five groups instead of one - five
  36. times the cost to post one stinking ad...If you don't think this will happen,
  37. let me point you to the comp.sys.sun groups where it still happens today...
  38.   By keeping the group unsplit, I only have to weed through one group instead
  39. of several.

  41.  In a nutshell, I think it would be a waste of everybody's time and money 
  42. to split the group...
