- I am a volunteer in the Ithaca New York Fire Department. It is a combination
- career/volunteer organization, and while the career personnel must wear long
- pants while on duty as part of their uniform, I was told that anyone else can
- wear jeans, shorts, whatever.... under their bunker pants. It's just a matter
- of preference, and shouldn't affect the protective nature of your gear at all.
