  18. I am a volunteer in the Ithaca New York Fire Department.  It is a combination
  19. career/volunteer organization, and while the career personnel must wear long
  20. pants while on duty as part of their uniform, I was told that anyone else can
  21. wear jeans, shorts, whatever.... under their bunker pants.  It's just a matter
  22. of preference, and shouldn't affect the protective nature of your gear at all.
