- I have a 1987 Mazda 323 and have had much the same problems
- as you mentioned. At 78,000 miles, I needed to have the
- front rotors replaced because they were too thin to
- grind down anymore. (as a side question, the Midas repairman
- claimed it was against the law for him to grind them down
- further than x limit in Florida... Is this true?)

- I also noted my valve cover gasket to be leaking oil and
- when I went into a Mazda shop to have that and other things
- looked at, they claimed it was just a bad oil cap and
- replaced it free of charge. Naturally they were wrong and its
- still leaking oil, but I don't have any more money or patience
- to have it repaired at this time.
