- I don't think we've seen enough evidence to conclude that one brand
- battery is more prone to leakage than another. I had a
- bad experience with Ray-O-Vac alkaline batteries which leaked
- and wrecked a flashlight. I didn't mix batteries or subject them
- to abuse, but the experience affected my battery buying habits.

- Since then, I've avoided Ray-O-Vac batteries. Instead, I use Duracell,
- Energizer, Sears DieHard, Panasonic, and (oh!) Radio Shack alkalines.
- None have leaked (so far).
