- I'm sorry to hear that. I used a D2 (the cheapest Sony portable) in the
- *glove compartment* of my car w/no padding, etc. for a year. I then upgraded
- to the D-180 (Car CD player- better skip-tracking), stuck that in the glove-
- compartment for another year, and presently have no trouble with it at all.
