- Ok, I know that the "market value price" touted by the furniture dealers is
- fiction - I have never seen a single item whose advertised selling price was
- within 30% of the so-called market value price. And store-wide 50% off sales
- are pretty common. So, a question for you experienced negotiators (or
- ex-furniture salespeople): Just how steep is the typical mark-up on these
- items? How big a commission is involved on a sale?
