  21. This exact same problem happened to me; I have multiple TVs and it only 
  22. happened to one of them.  I thought maybe the picture tube was going bad
  23. (it's an RCA about nine years old), and was going to call the repair
  24. service, when I decided to check the rat's maze of coax I have connecting
  25. the TV to the VHS VCR to the Beta VCR to the Cable to a selector box, etc. 
  26. Sure enough, one coax, when touched, blanked out the screen.  I tightened
  27. it and haven't had a problem since....

  29. I know you said you checked your wires, but CHECK them thoroughly - it's
  30. cheaper to replace them then part of your Sony...
