- Me too (leaving the IOU State for another state, that is.)

- It might be wise to adjust the withholding on your last couple of
- paychecks before you move, so that you will owe California money
- on April 15th. This has two advantages:

- 1. More cash to deal with moving expenses.

- 2. Less chance of having to deal with trying to get cash for
- an IOU (excuse me, "Registered Warrant") from the IOU State,
- in case they haven't solved the budget problem by then. :-(
- I wouldn't want to try to convince some random non-California
- back that they should cash the damn thing.
