- A friend of mine has a 20 year old Kirby that he inherited from his parents
- and it still sucks more than ever. :) IMHO, a Kirby is the ultimate,
- overdesigned vacuum cleaner. It's probably the only appliance you can
- buy and plan on having to mention it in your will.
-
- From the rest of your article, you're looking to spend less than $150.
- You should be able to do OK with that, but I'd avoid Sears (due to absolutely
- abysmal service these days). However, have you thought of buying used?
- I see used vacuums all the time in the paper and in the local charity
- thrift store. They're cheap, and they work. Even if it dies in 2 to 3
- years, you only spent a little money on it (compared with the high
- price of new vacs).
