- is no way to get it back. Also, therefore, no way to screen calls.

- Also consider whether you want to support local phone companies extending
- their monopolies outside local phone service. Answering services used to be,
- and in my opinion should be, competative products. Somehow, though, the local
- phone companies manage to provide such a service for a price that is often
- less than what they would charge for the components (stutter dial tone and
- some form of busy/no answer forwarding). In some cases, they won't even sell
- the component services to competitors, so they ensure a monopoly.
