- Your situation is indeed unfortunate, but it happens (not to excuse
- Sam's though). About 10 years ago I won fourth place in a local photo
- contest. The prize was a 11x14 color print of the slide. The contest
- sponsor was a film manufacturer, and the contest was run by
- Consolidated Camera (it used to be on Green near 6th). When my print
- arrived, I was very unsatisfied - the colors were muddy, and it was
- grainy. CC agreed and sent it back to the lab to be redone. But,
- when the print came back, it was still lousy, but---no slide. They
- tried to locate it for me but the lab was unable to turn it up. I
- still think I'll see that photo in some ad someday....
