- An excellent book. Another one that I have found very useful is
- _The_user's_DIRECTORY_of_Computer_Networks by Tracy L. LaQuey. Its
- main function is to be a directory of computers that are hooked to
- networks. Much of this info can be found somewhere on the net, if you
- know where to look. But it is very convenient to have it in one
- place. It also has a good deal of info on how the network is set up
- administratively. Before I got it, I always wondered who was paying
- for all of this. It gives the political setup of many individual
- nets, as well as their interconnection to other nets.
-
- Note, both books are by Digital Press, and the authors wrote the
- forwards for each other's book. They compliment each other well (in
- several senses of the word).
