- The "closed-captions" mentioned in the note below are
- similar to the subtitles shown on foreign films--except
- that the signals for closed-captions are invisible until
- decoded by a caption decoder attatched to, or built inside,
- the television set. Closed-captions are helpful not only
- to deaf and hard of hearing viewers, but also to foreign
- immigrants who are learing English as a second language.
- Closed-captions can also help people learn to read.

- I have not seen it myself, but its coverage apparently is similar to
- the book "50 Simple Things You Can Do to Save the Earth". Look for
- this tape at your local video store. It was released by MCA/Universal
- Home Video.
