- Civil disobedience at Carnegie Mellon University will held August 6th @
- Noon to remember the 47th anniversary of Hiroshima Day and the 2nd
- anniverisary of the sanctions on Iraq. We in Pittsburgh are calling the
- event "River Cities", Pittsburgh, Baghdad, and Hiroshima all being
- cities near rivers.
- Specifically, we are calling for the end of sanctions against Iraq, and
- an end to CMU's/Dod's Software Engineering Institute (SEI), the 8th
- largest Air Force Base in America. SEI handles all the computer
- communications for the Force, no plane has ever landed here. It also
- researchs many Dod military projects. (The complete antithesis of the
- Activists Mailing List, instead of e-linking activists, they link up the
- military.)
-
- You can send letters of support during the 6 day vigil (August 1-6) at
- this address, ti08+@andrew.cmu.edu.
