  32. We're sorry to send you the following news in this manner.  The enclosed  
  33. copies attest to the assassination of Francisco Estrada,  
  34. founding-President of AVE of Mexico, along with two other friends  
  35. last Sunday, July 12, at dawn.  
  36.   
  37. Our dear friend was left dead with the usual signs of such homophobic  
  38. homicides and we are not waiting for a response from the putrid press.  
  39.   
  40. We are feeling disdain, hurt and extremely indignant at these acts and we  
  41. want you propose - to the ['unreal'] assembly of gays and lesbians - a real 
  42.  
  43. solution.  
  44.   
  45. The yellow press is quite placid:  it has enough crap to distribute at a  
  46. barnyard.  In addition to a series of assassinations in Chiapas and the death 
  47. of the transvestite youth of Oaxaca, the treacherous detention at sunrise of 
  48. Mema and Josefina.  Now add to this two more assassinations.

  50. It appears as if this horror is unending.  We suspect that this is part of 
  51. a treacherous campaign to undermine and minimize the work of gay and AIDS  
  52. activists.

  54. IGL, we will leave to your discretion the organizing of any actions.  In 1989 
  55. in Vienna, a demonstration was organized in front of the Argentinean embassy 
  56. and the results were positive.  Therefore, we propose a demonstration in  
  57. front of the Mexican embassy along with the following demands:  
  58.   
  59.      demand that the government follow-up with an investigation  which  
  60.      completely encompasses all of the cases until they are resolved and    
  61.  
  62.      that these acts be denounced (Oaxaca, Chiapas and now in the Federal  
  63.      District (DF)  
  64.   
  65.      publicly denounce the vulture-like attitude of the press which  
  66.      has sought to assassinate the victims for a second time through 
  67.      theirhomophobic violence  
  68.   
  69.      insist on the energetic intervention of CONASIDA in order to counter  
  70.      the slanted information that is being dispersed  
  71.   
  72.      end to the police harassment of gays, which is evident in the press'  
  73.      tendency to project the victims as responsible for their own murders  
  74.      ("there were dildos, marijuana, they had 'AIDS'") and denounce the  
  75.      promotion of death squads, whose   only function is to incite those  
  76.      fascists who belong to one.
