  23.    The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace's bipartisan
  24. "National Commission on America and the New World" will release its
  25. final report at a press conference to be held on Wednesday,
  26. July 22, at 10 a.m. at the National Press Club (First Amendment
  27. Room).
  28.    Warning against a retreat into neo-isolationism or
  29. protectionism, the report advocates -- in a dramatic break with the
  30. past -- an American foreign policy based on domestic renewal
  31. and a reorientation of U.S. priorities overseas.

  33.    Participants in the press conference will be:
  34.    * Ambassador Winston Lord, former U.S. Ambassador to the
  35. People's Republic of China, chaired the 21 member bipartisan
  36. Commission.  He will summarize the report's recommendations and a
  37. coherent plan for a future foreign policy in a radically changed
  38. world.
  39.    * Ambassador Morton I. Abramowitz is the president of the
  40. Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and a member of the
  41. bipartisan Commission.

  43.    They will be joined by several other members of the Commission,
