  13. GCC 2.2.2 is the current version of GCC version 2.  We still
  14. consider GCC version 2 in beta test because we are constantly adding
  15. features to it, rather than maintaining it for stability.

  17. Meanwhile, I am maintaining GCC version 1 for stability.  I hope to
  18. release GCC 1.41 soon.  I am looking for additional people to pretest
  19. it.  To be a pretester, you should be prepared to compile some large
  20. programs and, if they don't work, find out which line has been
  21. miscompiled so you can send me a bug report I can work with.
