  11. I am having problems installing GCC after sucessful completion of the
  12. stage 3 compiler.
  13.  
  14. Machine type: at486/33
  15. O/S: Esix 4.04
  16. Configure option: i386-*-sysv4
  17.  
  18. I made it through to stage3 without incident. I issued the command
  19.  
  20.         make CC=stage2/gcc install
  21.  
  22. I get the following error message:

  25.     stage2/gcc -c    -g     -I. -I/usr/work/gcc-2.1 -I/usr/work/gcc-2.1/config toplev.c
  26. *** Error code 1 (bu21)
  27. stage2/gcc: installation problem, cannot exec cpp: No such file or directory

  29. make: fatal error.
  30.  
  31. All the files seem to be in the right places.  Any suggestions??

  33. Probably something stupid I didn't notice.
