  13. I am on a sparc II running SunOS 4.1.1. This bug appears when I
  14. build gnu diff-1.15 specifying the -O2 flag to gcc (version 2.2.2,
  15. compiled by itself).
  16.  
  17. If I build diff specifying -O, I can compare the two files included
  18. below (saying diff file1 file2) and diff completes successfully;
  19. if I use -O2 when building diff, I get a segmentation fault in
  20. routine 'diag' (saith gdb).
  21.  
  22. If I remove one line at the end of each file (make them both one
  23. line shorter) the -O2 diff completes successfully.

  25. The files are delimited by %%% strings; these are not part of the
  26. files. (Sorry about their size; I couldn't make them any smaller and
  27. still have it break.)
