- I am running Epoch 4.0 under X11R5.
-
- Here's my problem:
-
- I have to invoke Epoch automatically from certain
- shell scripts (or say from command line) many times.
-
- However, I do not want many instances of Epoch starting
- up. Rather, every time I call Epoch, I want to connect to one
- Epoch 'server' (for obvious reasons, I don't want all the functions
- in my .emacs starting over and over again. I just want one
- screen.) Is there such a thing as Epoch client/server? Is this
- the idea behind emacsclient?
-
- Any ideas?
