  13. I am running Epoch 4.0 under X11R5.

  15. Here's my problem:

  17.     I have to invoke Epoch automatically from certain 
  18. shell scripts (or say from command line) many times.
  19.  
  20.     However, I do not want many instances of Epoch starting
  21. up. Rather, every time I call Epoch, I want to connect to one
  22. Epoch 'server' (for obvious reasons, I don't want all the functions
  23. in my .emacs starting over and over again. I just want one 
  24. screen.) Is there such a thing as Epoch client/server? Is this
  25. the idea behind emacsclient?
