- I just installed ESIX System V Release 4.0.4 with the X11 Motif server. I set
- up Emacs-18.58 config to use the standard s-esix5r4.h and m-intel386.h files.
- I've gone through several different permutations of the library listings in
- the s-esix5r4.h #define's with no luck. I can execute the resulting xemacs
- with the -nw option and it runs. However, when I try to run it as an X
- application I get an XIO error 14 (bad address). I've tried setting the
- DISPLAY variable to either unix:0 or `hostname`:0 with no difference in
- results. Has anyone else done this? Can anyone explain why I have to list
- the -lsocket and -lc libraries *before* the -lX11 library?
