  17. Let me clarify what "multiple views" means.  Marks are attribute tags
  18. that are attached to objects like newsgroups or articles.  So a
  19. newsgroup might have an "unsubscribed" attribute or a "not-in-newsrc"
  20. attribute.

  22. A view is a particular way of presenting data, like the list of
  23. newsgroups.  Perhaps you might want to see a simple list of just those
  24. groups that are marked as "new".  Or maybe you want to see all groups
  25. tagged with symbols for their attributes.
