  13. maybe just have one toggle, more or less like we have now, to toggle
  14. between one FULL display, where MARKS are used to distinguish
  15. newsgroup types, and one SHORT display, which hides boring newsgroup
  16. types (killed newsgroups, unsubscribed newsgroups, and constituent
  17. newsgroups of a virtual newsgroup).

  19. thus killed groups still have different semantics (for speed) but a
  20. consistent interface.

  22. U, K (for killed), and C (for constitituent) are marks, and things can
  23. be done for moving or hiding as are done in vm or gnus.  (note that
  24. constituent groups are indented and can be hidden much like threads
  25. can be.  the virtual newsgroup is in uppercase to distinguish it from
  26. a real newsgroup.)

  46. i say forget about having separate modes and screens and command sets
  47. and so on.  just use marks.  it's a familiar paradigm and it should be
  48. flexible enough.
