- Isn't this the usual way live video windows are implemented? Such systems
- allow a video input to be directed to a rectangle on the display. An X
- window is mapped to that area and always raised to the top. No real X
- output is done to this window -- it's just a placeholder so that other
- windows will clip against it and mouse events can be directed at the
- client.
