  12.     The Free Widget Foundation (FWF) is looking for volunteers
  13.     interested in helping to produce a top-quality set widgets
  14.     available to the public at no cost.
  15.  
  16.     The Free Widget Foundation began two years ago as a volunteer
  17.     effort to gather a set of free widgets for use in building complex
  18.     user interfaces.  We currently have a set of widgets available
  19.     via ftp from a.cs.uiuc.edu in the directory ~ftp/pub/fwf.shar.Z,
  20.     and have a mailing list of nearly 200 members.  Several X
  21.     applications now use the FWF library.

  23.     The FWF is currently extending itself from being an ad hoc widget
  24.     repository, to an organized effort to produce a powerful, complete
  25.     widget set.  Our goal is to have an initially extended and
  26.     reorganized widget set available at the end of 1992.
