- RTFF (Read The F-word FAQ)
-
- Not a nice way to react. The original questioner is a little
- clueless. So what. Where you brought into this world knowing
- everything?
-
- As Motif 1.1 has it's own Xt library it is not "compatible
- programming-wise", as you must use it's Xt functions. However,
- I use X11R5 other libraries with it and it compiles fine.
- (I sometimes need the X11 R4 library too, but only on the DECs
- where my Xm library is built that way.)
-
- Wrongo. You don't win the prize. Motif 1.0 had it's own version
- of the toolkit. This was merged into X11r4 and Motif 1.1 and 1.2
- use the r4 toolkit.
-
- However, as my vague memory tells me, there is a Motif version
- that supports X11R5. Just read the FAQ.
-
- Motif 1.2 is based on r5.
-
- About the second question , I don't see why not. The window manager
- does'nt know how the program was built.....
-
- Probably OK. No guarantees from me.
-
- Lighten up. You can always ignore the questions.
