- I am developing an application in xview which has a control
- panel with a look-and-feel very much like the "Binder" supplied
- with Sun's Desktools. [Binder has a scrolling list of applications with
- the application's file manager icon to the left of the text portion of
- the list entry. The displayed icon is fully RGB-coloured and so
- is obviously more than 1-bit deep.]
-
- This prompts the following query: does anyone know how they did it?
- In all the example code I've seen, and in Heller's Xview text,
- server images used for glyphs seem to be limited to single-bit depth.
-
- As an aside, the Heller Xview manual does talk about full colour in
- the section on server images, but not very completely.
-
- A friend suggested that perhaps Sun used the Olit toolkit, which *does*
- support this construct, but I find it hard to believe that Sun would
- develop their own tools in something other than Xview.
-
- Thanks in advance for any pearls of wisdom.
