  13. I posted this a while back, but then the lightning came, so I 
  14. doubt that this ever made it out.

  16. I'm running on a VAXstation 4000, VMS 5.5, Motif 1.0A.
  17. Apparently there is a bug (or should I say incompatibility) from
  18. when DEC made X run on the new 4000.  
  19.  
  20. I have a background program running (background meaning in the 
  21. root window).  OK--it's a bunch of fishies.  Whenever I move or
  22. resize a window, the root window gets scrambled up with my other
  23. windows.  Not being X-literate, is there a way I could add something
  24. to the (C) program to skip re-drawing while any window is being
  25. moved/resized?   From what little I know, I would guess to look
  26. for some event happening, but not knowing X, I don't know what 
  27. or how to cover an event happening in any window.
