- There are two common reasons for this error. One is that the directory
- isn't properly set up (mkfontdir or equivalent). The other is that
- you've neglected to note that the path you provide must be valid in the
- *server*'s view of the filesystem. Its validity from xset's point of
- view is completely irrelevant (though in some cases xset and the server
- will have the same point of view).
