  14. We were thinking of getting some NCD Xterminals to replace our
  15. VT220s when we came across a demo for eXcursion, which is 
  16. offered by Digital and is (I quote)
  17. ' a full implementation of the MIT X Windows Version 11 Release
  18. 4 server. It runs as a Microsoft Windows Version 3.0 application,
  19. creating Microsoft Windows windows in which remote Decwindows
  20. or X Windows appliocations display graphics and receive input.'

  22. Since one could buy a PC with Windows for less than
  23. the cost of an Xterminal, and get the potential for local
  24. applications like wordprocessing as well, what's the
  25. advantage of an Xterminal?

  27. Has anyone tried eXcursion? Is it slower than a regular
  28. Xterminal? Any problems? 
  29.  
  30. I'm also interested in any experiences with particular
  31. brands of Xterminals, i.e performance, cost etc., especially
  32. from anyone who has been through this decision recently.
