- What is the accepted way to set DESTDIR. I can't modify the Makefile to
- include it since imake will come along sometime and nuke my changes. Other
- files that have potential of fixing this say they shouldn't be changed.

- I have already fumble fingered once and had to restore some files
- because X installed where it wasn't supposed to go. If I have this
- problem, what's the poor shmo that comes along after me (and desides
- "make install" is a good thing to type) going to do.

- To sum up: Do I really have to type "make install DESTDIR=/blahh" every
- time I need to install?
