- We've recently purchased a bunch of DEC VXT2000 X-terminals along with
- a font/Info Server. I'm in the process of trying to make OpenWindows
- applications run reliably on it and am having some trouble with fonts.
- Digital supplies a software kit and has instructions on converting from
- Sun's fonts to *.pcf format. Unfortunately, the conversion is full of
- problems and I suspect the generated fonts are unreliable. I haven't
- been able to confirm this since I can't get a mkfontdir (even the
- DEC-supplied one) to build a fonts.dir so that the Info Server can
- create a new font set. What I'm looking for is anyone who may have been
- successful in converting OpenLook 2.0 and/or 3.0 fonts to PCF format and
- then loading the font set into the Info Server. Please respond by email
- as I don't follow this group as often as I should.
-
- Thanks,
- Doug
