- [Updated list enclosed...]
-
- I am compiling a list of all XView ports and OpenWindows ports, whether
- free, ftp'able or commercial.
-
- Ideally, I'd like to see a repository of binary libs, ports, notes, etc.,
- somewhere on the Internet. Any offers?
-
- If you mail me details I'll make it a regular alt.toolkits.xview posting,
- and perhaps list them in the comp.windows.open-look FAQ.
-
- I do not know of any OpenWindows 3 ports apart from the Sun SPARC binary.
- Please tell me there are more! Presumably all of these would be available
- commercially, since there are royalties involved.
-
- I am not bothering to mention olvwm or olwm ports, as there are probably too
- many to count by now! I will list them only if they are available by ftp.
-
- Here is my current list...
-
- OpenWindows 3 Ports
- Sun: SPARC, SunOS 4.1
- Sun: SPARC, Solaris 2 (actually 3.0.1?)
- others: none so far...
-
- There are said (by Sun) to be over 35 ports of OpenWindows either
- available now or in progress. Contact Anthony Flynn at Open Vistas
- International (anthony@ovi.com) for more information.
- There was said to have been a new announcement about OpenWindows 3 source
- availability this month, but I didn't see it if there was.
-
-
- XView 3 ports
-
- What: XView 3
- System: A/UX

- Ftp: encyclo.jax.org
- Notes:
- The libraries and utilities (olwm, cmdtool, etc) are available for
- anonymous ftp from encyclo.jax.org. I used gcc 2.1 to compile the
- sources. If there is enough interest, I can make the diffs
- available.
-
- What: XView 2
- System: Stellar GS100 (Stardent 1000) and Stardent 1500 & 3000
- Porter: arvai@scripps.edu (Andy Arvai)
